He has as a B.A. in Psychology and a B.F.A. in Painting from Mount Union in College in Ohio where he graduated with honors. He went to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio for his M.F.A..

He was the student director of the Crandall Art Gallery at Mount Union College.

He was curator of Border’s Beaux Arts at Border’s Books and Music in Akron, Ohio

He was the assistant manager at Ki’i Galleries in Hawai’i.

He has exhibited his art consistently for over twenty-five years.

He was the first recipient of the Scotty Flamm Award for Excellence in Art and Community Service in 2001.

He is one of the original members of The Urban Art Network in Portland, Oregon.

He published the first book of his art in 2014.
